No need to talk with Cong about Raja: Karunanidhi

Chennai, Nov 12: When central government put the ball on DMK's court to decide the fate of Telecom Minister A Raja in the 2G spectrum scam, DMK chief Karunanidhi on Nov 12 claimed that there is no need to discuss with Congress about Raja as his party has full faith on the telecom minister.

Showing full confidence on Raja, Karunanidhi stated, "He is not a criminal. He just went by the procedures set by his predecessors Pramod Mahajan and Arun Shourie of the previous NDA Government."

"When he has followed the rules, how can you say Raja flouted the rules," questioned DMK supremo.

Stating about Jayalalithaa's proposal to Congress, Karunanidhi said, "They (Congress) have told her that there are no vacancies. They have closed the door."
