113m pounds EuroMillions winner tops UK's National Lottery Rich List
London, 0ct 21 (ANI): A 113 million pounds EuroMillions Lottery jackpot won earlier this month has been paid out to the claimed UK winner.
The winner, from the draw on Friday October 8, is deciding whether or not to go public with the windfall, reports the Sun.
The 113,019,926 pounds jackpot is the biggest lottery prize to be paid out in the UK and the ticket-holder now sits at the top of the UK's National Lottery Rich List.
A spokeswoman for Camelot said a winning ticket had been produced and verified. The lottery operator revealed yesterday it had received more than 1,000 lost ticket claims relating to the massive jackpot.
The previous largest lottery winner in the UK was an anonymous player who scooped 84.4 million pound on the EuroMillions draw in May.
Before this, Nigel Page and Justine Laycock, from Barnsley, Gloucestershire, broke the record in February after winning 56million pounds on EuroMillions.
In the past 16 years, 2,400 people have become overnight millionaires through the lottery.
The latest winner, who could be an individual or a syndicate, defied odds of 76,275,360 to one to guess all seven numbers correctly. (ANI)
