Nifty ends above 6100 level

Reliance Industries, SBI, Wipro, Infosys, Hindalco, DLF, Reliance Communications, Maruti and L&T along with healthcare companies' shares helped Nifty to get back its power.
However, metal, private financial, auto, cement and power companies' shares along with ONGC, Bharti, BHEL and TCS witnessed selling pressure.
The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 20,250.26, up 65.06 points or 0.32 percent and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 16.85 points or 0.28 percent to settle at 6,103.45.
Tata Power, Dr Reddys Labs, Cipla, Hero Honda were among the top gainers with 2.49 percent, 1.99 percent, 1.30 percent, 1.14 percent up respectively.
Tata Steel, Mah and Mah, Jaiprakash Asso, Tata Motors were among the top losers with 3.56 percent, 2.81 percent, 2.37 percent, 2.28 percent respectively.

Market continues in red; pvt banks dip
At 2:40 hrs , the Sensex was trading at 20202.01, down 113.31 points and the Nifty was at 6086.15, down 34.15 points.
Tata Steel,IFCI, Indiabulls Financial,VIP Industries and Reliance Industries were the most active shares on exchanges.
M&M was trading at Rs 698, down 3.82percent; Jaiprakash Associates was at Rs 130.10, down 3.67percent; Tata Steel was at Rs 627.70, down 3.36percent; Tata Motors was at Rs 1,096.10, down 2.69percent; HDFC was at Rs 711.60, down 2.08percent and Kotak Mahindra Bank was at Rs 498.60, down 2.77percent, were the top losers.

Trade continues in red; HDFC down
At 12:13 hrs, the Sensex was trading at 20270.03, down 45.29 points and the Nifty was at 6109.05, down 11.25 points.
Tata Steel declined 2.5 percent, SAIL lost 1.5 percent. Jindal Steel, Sesa Goa and Sterlite Industries were down 0.2-0.85 percent.
Tata Steel, Raymond, Indiabulls Financial, IFCI, Reliance Industries and SBI were the most active shares on exchanges. Where as, Jaiprakash Asso and HDFC were the top losers.

Market opens in red; SAIL down
The benchmark Nifty started the day on a negative note with a consolidation mode after seeing rally on Friday, Oct 8.
At 9:30 hrs, the Sensex was trading at 20285.52, down 29.80 points and the Nifty was at 6108.95, down 11.35 points.
The CNX Midcap rose 53 points to 9522; about 603 shares advanced while 169 shares declined on NSE.
Among the frontliners, Hindalco, Suzlon Energy, Ranbaxy Labs, Cipla, Dr Reddys Labs, Bharti, GAIL, Reliance Communications, SAIL, Tata Steel, L&T and Tata Motors were witnessing buying interest.
However, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Sesa Goa were marginally in red.
