LG expects $6 billion profit in water business

Seoul, Sep 16: One of the world's largest home appliances maker, LG hoped to reach $6 billion in sales by 2020 with the help of its new business water treatment business.

LG, which confronted some pressure in its main business with rising competition and delays in new product launches, expanded its wing to new areas such as solar energy, healthcare and water processing operations.

Official from LG informed, "The water treatment business has strong growth potential as it is growing 15 percent annually on average."

"We will consider M&As and other forms of alliances actively to rapidly grow the business," his statement added.
