AP: Orphan kids sexually abused, owner arrested

Hyderabad, Sep 14: The founder of an orphanage institution in Hyderabad was accused of sexually exploiting orphanage children.

Siria Orphanage Home, was started in 2006 and is home to almost 140 students. The local police went for a raid and they charged him of sexual abuse on Sunday, Sep 12.

Ravinder Reddy, inspector and investigation officer said, “The girls told us that he used to call them at night during late hours and touch them. He also threatened them."

As of now Malayadri is arrested and he will be under the bar for 14 days. Despite being framed, he defended saying “I was running this orphanage as my own family. These are baseless allegations. I am being targeted."

Police said the orphanage home will be under government's care till further orders.
