Air Decan flight
Srinagar, Sep 14: After Kargil war in 1999, for the first time in last eleven years, air travelling to and from Srinagar has been suspended as government froze air services in the region for few days.

All Flights to Srinagar has been cancelled till Sep 17, though no official reason has been given for the suspension of air services.

Following a rumour that the Quran has been burnt in US, violence in the valley spreaded like fire, which caused 17 dead and 45 injured.

After the row, the entire Jammu Kashmir has been rewraped under curfew from Sep 13.

Security forces would face huge challenge as all flights to Srinagar were being diverted to Awantipora airbase since Sep 3 due to resurfacing work at the only civilian airport.
