Suicide attack on northwest Pakistan town kills 8

Islamabad, Sep 6: A suspected suicice attack rocked northwest Pakistan yet again in Lakki Marwat town where at least eight policemen were killed on Monday, Sep 6 morning.

Besides causing eight deaths, the attack targetting a police station in the town wounded as many as 13 people.

"Eight dead bodies are lying in the police station. We are gathering more information," Abdul Rahim, a police official told an international news agency through phone.

The area of the attack has been cordoned off.

Reports suggest that 45 policemen were in the station when the attack took place.

In some media reports, the death toll has been put up to ten and more causalities are feared.
