New Metro service rocks in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 4: The new Metro rail, which has been inaugurated on Sep 3, left a huge response among the people of the capital as it got over 32,000 footfalls within a few hours of its opening.

About 32,000 people used the metro services till 8 pm on Sep 3, informed a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) spokesperson.

AIIMS station saw 2,200 footfalls, while Green Park Metro station has witnessed the presence of 2,700 passengers.

The latest line completes the stretch from Jahangirpuri in the north to Gurgaon, a distance of 45 km.

The new Metro line is connecting the city's north with its satellite town of Gurgaon in Haryana.
