Bihar: Body of Tete found in Lakhisarai jungles

Lucas Tete was one of the four Bihar policemen kidnapped by Maoists after a six-hour gunfight in Lakhisarai district on Sunday, Aug 29.
The gunbattle left seven policemen dead and 10 injured. Maoists claimed the gunfight was in retaliation for the killing of their leader Azad and a journalist in Andhra Pradesh.
The Maoists have also warned the Bihar government of more attacks if the operations against the rebels did not stop immediately.
Security forces on Friday, Sep 3, intensified operations to rescue the abducted policemen.
BSF helicopters carrying Cobra battalion personnel hovered over the hills in hunt for the Naxalites for ensuring safe release of the hostages.
