Two planes crash in air killing 2 in New Zealand
Wellington, Jul 26: Two people were killed when two planes crashed into each other in New Zealand.
The Dominion Post reported that the planes, both Cessna 152s, dashed into each other near Feilding, 20km north of Palmerston on Monday, Jul 26.
Following the impact one plane managed to land at the Taonui Airfield, but the other crashed into a nearby field, killing two people.
A woman who was in the plane that landed in the field was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
"We don't know at the moment what's happened but there's obviously been some sort of incident between the two aircraft in the air," said Kim Perks, police spokeswoman.
