Indo-Pak Foreign Ministers talks run into extra-time

Islamabad, Jul 15 (ANI): In a bid to revive the composite dialogue between India and Pakistan, the talks between foreign ministers S.M. Krishna and Shah Mehmood Qureshi ran into extra time late on Thursday.

A scheduled news conference was delayed more than six hours with both sides locked in talks till late in the evening, trying to craft a joint statement.

Krishna and his Pakistani counterpart Qureshi apologized to the waiting journalists.

"I apologise for keeping you waiting for such a long time. The nature of discussions were such that it could not be concluded on time," said Krishna.

Krishna also met Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari. (ANI)
