Malaysian Govt. to recruit more non-Malays for Civil services
Kuala Lumpur June 20 (ANI): The Malaysian Government has said it would undertake recruitment drive to increase the non-Malay appoinments in the country's civil service to 1,000 within the next five years.
"The move is necessary to ensure more non-Malays are represented in all state government departments," said State Unity, Human Resource, Science, Technology and Inno-vation Committee chairman M. Asojan.
According to The Star, out of the 8,372-strong state civil servants in the country, there are only 10 Chinese and 116 Indians
He further informed that job recruitment advertisements would be put up in vernacular newspapers and in English dailies to attract more applicants. Applications would also be accepted only through the Johor State Government or the Job Malaysia website. (ANI)
