Angry mob wrecks Ranchi hospital after death of young woman during childbirth

Ranchi, June 5 (ANI): An angry mob went on rampage in a Ranchi nursing home after the postnatal death of a young woman.

The mob shattered windowpanes and damaged medical equipments of the nursing home after which they set beds and curtains in the nursing home afire.

The deceased woman, identified as Sunita Devi, was admitted on Friday (June 4) night to the private nursing home for childbirth. She died on Saturday (June 5) morning of excessive blood loss after giving birth to a healthy baby.

The incensed relatives hold the doctor guilty of negligence that led to her death.unita's relatives claim that they were asked to shift her out of the hospital after she had already lost a considerable amount of blood.

"This is total negligence on part of the doctor. If they do not have the facility, they should not take such a case," said Srikant, a local resident.

Later, local police arrived on the scene and promptly rounded up the vandals.(ANI)
