3 convicted in Japanese tourist gang rape case
Gaya, May 17: A Bihar court on Monday, May 17, convicted three persons in connection with the gang rape of 25-year-old Japanese tourist on Apr 16.
Chief judicial magistrate of Gaya, Rajesh Narain Sevak Pandey pronounced Pappu Kumar, Uday Kumar and Anuj Kumar guilty of raping the Japanese woman.
The quantam of sentencing will be announced later in the day.
The other two accused in the case, Lutan Yadav and Rajan Yadav are absconding. The property of the two accused have been attached by the police.
On Apr 21, police filed chargesheets against Pappu, Uday and Anuj.
The five accused dragged the victim out of the auto and then raped her.
