CISF dues worth Rs. 322.65 crore pending for recovery against PSUs: Govt.
New Delhi, April 27 (ANI): An amount of rupees 322.65 crore has been outstanding against user Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)/Other organisations towards cost of deployment of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), as on March 31, 2010, the Government stated on Tuesday in the Lok Sabha.
Stating that the CISF has raised the issue with the concerned Public Sector Undertakings, the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Maken, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, said: "An amount of Rs. 322.65 crore is outstanding against user PSUs/Other organisations towards cost of deployment of CISF as on 31.3.2010."
During last three years, the minister informed, the aforesaid amount has been received from PSUs/other organisations towards deployment cost of CISF.
In 2007-08 Rs. 1342.45 crore
2008-09 Rs. 2114.45 crore
2009-10 Rs. 3014. 98 crore.
Mentioning about the steps which have been taken to recover the outstanding amounts, Mr. Maken in his reply stated: "Monthly position of outstanding dues against each PSU is worked out and intimated to each unit commander to enable him to liaise with the respective management for expeditious clearance of dues."
"Senior CISF officers while on inspection to units always discuss the status of the outstanding dues with the management. The matter is taken up regularly with administrative Ministries of the PSUs concerned for early clearance of outstanding amount," Mr. Maken further stated. (ANI)
