DMK yet again hit by succession row?

Chennai, Mar 24: A year after MK Stalin, third son of Tamil Nadu chief minister Karunanidhi, was made Deputy Chief Minister, the succession row in DMK has yet again raised its head.

The issue, which looked like it was resolved when Stalin was named the Deputy CM, surfaced on Wednesday, Mar 23, when Union Minister MK Azhagiri stated that he would not accept anyone as the party leader other than his father M Karunanidhi.

In an interview with a magazine, he also stressed that no one else other than the Chief Minister was capable of handling the party.

However, Azhagiri's comments doesn't seem flatter Karunanidhi. When he was asked to respond to these remarks, the DMK supremo shot back saying “go and ask him", say reports.

In 2009, Karunanidhi announced his plans to retire from active politics so that he could concentrate on his literary work.
