PML-N, PML-Q play blame-game on SBP bank loan scandal
Islamabad, Dec. 7 (ANI): PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif do not need any clearance certificate from State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), as the SBP list regarding bank loan written-off contains the name of Pervaiz Elahi and not of PML-N leadership, senior PML-N leader Pervaiz Rasheed has said.
Rasheed was reacting to PML-Q leader Pervaiz Elahi's statement who had threatened to expose the PML-N top leadership if it failed to clear its position regarding bank loans within a week, The Nation reports.
Earlier, presenting his own bank clearance certificates regarding loans written-off in favour of his family Elahi had urged Sharif brothers to follow his example.
Rasheed said that Elahi had no right to give PML-N leadership deadlines.
He added that Nawaz Sharif left all his business concerns after being elected as Prime Minister in 1992 and he heads no business concern since that time.
He also said that Elahi should go to the court instead of making frivolous claims. (ANI)
