Islamabad, Oct.9 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that a high level meeting would soon be convened to discuss the controversial Kerry Lugar Bill and its implications.
The participant of the meeting would include President Asif Ali Zardari, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi apart from Gilani himself.
Interacting with media persons in Muzaffarabad, Gilani said: "The President, myself, the Army Chief and the Foreign Minister will hold a meeting immediately."
Gilani said Qureshi, who is currently in the US, has been summoned to respond to the queries being raised by the parliamentarians in the National Assembly.
When asked about the various controversial clauses included in the bill, he said Parliament was 'sovereign', 'powerful' and the 'right forum' to discuss all-important national issues.
"All elected representatives should express their views and discuss the matter threadbare," The Nation quoted Gilani, as saying. (ANI)
