3 LeT militants killed in Jammu Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Oct 7: Three top Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in three separate encounters with security forces in Jammu Kashmir on Wednesday, Oct 7.

A police spokesman said the militants hiding in the Kupwara forest opened fire at the joint search party and in the ensuing encounter, three foreign militants owing allegiance to LeT were killed.

One of the slain militants has been identified as Abu Hamza, a top LeT Pakistani militant.

Police said another militant was killed in a gunfight with security forces at Trikanjan in Baramulla district, 90 kms from here, on Wednesday morning, Oct 7.
