Sonia Gandhi to address rallies at Karnal, Sirsa today

Haryana, Oct 4 (ANI): Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi will address rallies at Karnal and Sirsa in Haryana today.

The rallies are being held in support of the Congress candidate for Assembly elections in the state, which is scheduled to be held on October 13.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh addressed an election rally at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Assembly elections will be the first major test for the Congress coalition after registering a thumping victory in the General Elections for the Lok Sabha in May.

The single-phased elections will be held for total 438 State Assembly seats-- 288 (Maharashtra), 90 (Haryana), and 60 (Arunachal Pradesh).

The counting will be held on October 22. The election process will complete on October 25. (ANI)
