Student alleges gangrape; police finds loopholes

New Delhi, Oct 1: The police complaint filed by a hotel management student alleging that she was kidnapped and gang raped by four men and kept locked up for a whole month has received nothing but suspicion from the Delhi police.

According to the complaint filed by the 23-year-old victim, she was forcibly taken to different places by an acquaintance in his car on Aug 31 and was confined by her abductors till Sep 26.

The Tilak Marg police claims that there are many loopholes in her account of the crime.

They question as to why the girl did not come to the police immediately after she was freed and why her family members have not filed any missing report when their daughter was untraceable for a month.

The victim stays in West Delhi and is doing internship in Greater Noida after completing her hotel management course from Punjab Technical University. She was living in a hostel when she met a 25-year-old man and his friends who she alleges were her abductors.
