Lift suspension, take back student: Delhi HC
New Delhi, Sep 12:The Delhi High Court on Friday, Sep11, ordered a city school to allow a child, who it had suspended for wearing uniform belt below the waist.
"This type of issue should not come to the court. It is not a serious issue, as there are other serious issues, the court has to hear," said a division bench comprising Justice Mukul Mudgal and Justice Reva Khetrapal.
The judgment added that by suspending the child for an indefinite period, the school was violating the fundamental rights of the boy.
The court directed the Mount Carmel School to accept an apology tendered by the father of the 13-year-old boy for violating the school dress code.
