CII announces its fourth edition of BANKing TECH Summit 2009

Mumbai, Mar 13 (ANI/Business Wire India): After the mega success of the earlier editions, CII will organise the fourth edition of BANKing TECH Summit 2009 on March 23 in Mumbai.

It will be held under the Chairmanship of N Chandrasekaran, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

This national initiative is supported by Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL), Manufacturers' Association for Information Technology (MAIT), National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), National Stock Exchange (NSE), The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) along with The Insurance Times, Banking Finance and Satellite@Internet India as the Magazine Partners, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and UTV News Ltd. (UTVi) as the Knowledge and Media Partners respectively.

This year's Summit will bring the emerging opportunities, challenges for the financial sector and to implement new policies, technologies preparedness under the current scenario of risk faced by the large financial community.

It will also focus on charting a road map with the rapidly changing technology dynamics, converting data to effective business for sustaining growth.

The Summit aims to build a common platform for financial solution providers and the Indian financial community.

The theme for Summit is "Sustaining Growth In A Downturn Through Technology".

The Summit will include participation of leading industry players in an exclusive CEO's Interactive Roundtable: "Navigating Through The Recession".

The summit would also cover a wide range of topics of interest to stakeholders in the industry, including: "Key Challenges and Enablers", "Key to Sustenance and Growth", "Within and Beyond Banking".

One of the highlights of the Summit will be the release of CII - PwC Report on "Guide To Managing Recession: Key Recommendations"

The Summit is expected to attract over 200 top professionals comprising Chairmen, CEOs, MDs and other Senior Managers from the Indian banking, financial services and IT industry and key officials from nodal government agencies who will present their perspectives on the future of the Industry.
