Islamabad, Mar.8 (ANI): Pakistan intelligence agencies have expressed fears about a possible terror attack on the proposed lawyers' long march later this month.
According to sources, Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's Advisor on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik was briefed by intelligence agencies about their apprehensions in a meeting here.
The report tabled buy the intelligence official during the meeting said: "Terrorists could cause trouble on a 'small scale' during the long march."
The final decision on whether to allow the protestors to enter Islamabad would, however, be taken later after an extensive study of feedback from intelligence and administration, The Daily Time reports.
According to the proposed schedule, the lawyers' long march will begin simultaneously from different cities on March 12 and reach Islamabad on March 16, where the participants will demonstrate sit-in on the Constitution Avenue for indefinite period of time.
The lawyers' are demanding restoration of the deposed judges, including the chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry who were sacked by the then President General Pervez Musharraf in November 2007. (ANI)
