Ford Fiesta bags Car of the year
London, Jan.23: The new Ford Fiesta on Thursday night, Jan 22 scooped two prizes at a top motor awards bash including Car of the Year.
It was also named Best Supermini by What Car magazine while Ford"s Mondeo picked up Best Family Car and Best Estate.
The Sun quoted editor Steve Fowler as saying: “The Fiesta is the right car at the right time, small in size, but big on ability." Ford Europe chairman John Fleming said: “This is tremendous news."
Volkswagen won three awards at the do in London"s Grosvenor House Hotel, including readers" choice for the Golf GTI.
