Brit job-seekers crash 'best job in the world Oz site'
London, Jan 13 (ANI): Large number of job-hunting British workers crashed a website yesterday in the pursuit to apply for what is being touted as "the best job in the world"- a caretaker for an Aussie island.
Tourism Queensland in Australia is looking for a caretaker for Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef.
With a salary package of 72,000 pounds, the six-month contract requires a person with no particular academic qualifications.
The suitor should just know swimming and have to write a blog promoting the beauty spot.
The website, islandreefjob.com went down at 9.05am, in just minutes after most people got to work.
"People will have looked at where they're working and the British weather, and decided to give it a go," The Sun quoted spokesman Jonathan Sloan as saying.
However, the site was again working at 10am, and was visited by 850,000 people throughout the day.
The post is being advertised in 18 countries. (ANI)
