Centre should evolve strategies to fight terror: CM
Bihar-sharif, Nov 29(UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the countrymen should unite in their fight against terrorism and disruptive forces would not be allowed to weaken unity and integrity of the nation.
Mr Kumar told reporters here, that the Centre should strive to evolve a national consensus and draw clear strategies to fight the growing menace of terrorism in different parts of the country.
In absence of any comprehensive and effective policy, disruptive forces were striking at will, while our security forces were finding it hard to combat such forces, he added.
''All political parties should extend their help in their fight against terrorism and help the Centre to meet this challenge,'' Mr Kumar said adding the Manmohan Singh government should adopt stringent actions against terrorist oufits.
The chief minister further said the state government would pay a compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh to families of Biharis' killed in Mumbai terror-strike on November 26.
The state Director General Police(DGP) has been directed to procure the list of those from Bihar killed in Mumbai terror attack, he added.
