BJP demands dismissal of J'khand ministers facing vigilance inquiry
Ranchi, Nov 28 (UNI) A BJP delegation led by former Chief Minister and Leader of Opoosition Arjun Munda today met Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi and demanded dismissal of two ministers -Harinarayan Rai and Anosh Ekka- of Soren-cabinet who were accused of ammasing huge properties.
The delegation comprising party's state vice-president Madhuram Sahu former MPs Dukha Bhagat and Ramtahal Choudhary also handed over a memorandum to the governor in this regard.
Talking to reporters later on party spokesperson Umashamker Kedia said both ministers could effect the vigilance inquiry if they remained in power therefore party had demanded their dismissal from the state cabinet.
On November 26, a case was lodged against Mr Rai and Mr Rai accusing both of them of ammasing properties disproportionate to known source of income.
On November 24, Vigilance court judge Anant Kumar Singh while hearing a public interest litigation filed by one Kumar Vinod of Deoghar district had directed the department to lodge the FIR agaginst the duo after investigating the matter.
