Place of worship damaged in Udupi
Udupi, Nov 28: Another incident of stone-pelting on a place of worship occurred at Nejar near Kalyanpur in Udupi city limits, damaging the window panes on Friday, Nov 28.
Police rushed to the spot and heightened security was provided around the structure.
According to police, some miscreants pelted stones on the place of worship, causing damage. It was built only last year. People came to know about the incident when they went to the centre to offer prayers.
The local Jamia Masjid leader Mr Aboobakkar lodged a complaint with the police.
The incident came in wake of the attacks on places of worship allegedly by rightist activities in Udipi, Dakshina Kannada and Bangalore urban district last month.
