Minor kidnapped, raped by married man for three days
Kapurthala Nov 27 (UNI) An eighth class student was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a married man for three days at village Bahui near this town, police today said.
SHO Kotwali Parminder Singh Bajwa said today that the 13-year-old girl was kidnapped by accused Mehar Singh on November 12 from her house at village Bahui when she was alone.
The accused took her to somewhere in Rajasthan and repeatedly raped her and then took her to village Brahamwal falling under Bholath police station and again raped her.
The SHO said police had registered a case of kidnapping on the complaint of victim's father Rajinder Kumar, a labourer.
Following police pressure on his family, the accused freed the girl on November 14, who reached home after boarding a bus from Brahamwal village.
After the girl narrated her tale to the parents, the victim's father first approached the village Panchayat, which tried for a compromise betwee the wo two sides but failed.
The victims father Rajinder Kumar then lodged a complaint with the police on November 26 following which the police registered a case under section 363,376 and 366 IPC against accused Mehar Singh who is absconding.
