Ajant-Ellora festival postoponed due to terror attacks
Aurangabad, Nov 27 (UNI) In the backdrop of terror attacks in Mumbai since last evening, the Ajanta-Ellora Festival Committee (AEFC) has decided to postpone the Ajanta-Ellora Festival, slated to be held at Suneri Mahal here from November 28 to December 1, for indefinite period.
Prominent actress Hema Malini, along with her two daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, was to perform at the inauguration programme.
Shreeniwas Joshi, Shujat Khan, singers Roopkumar Rathod and Sonali Rathod among others were also to grace the event.
According to a release issued by the AEFC, the festival committee president and the divisional commisisoner, Dilip Band called an emergency meeting at 1100 hrs and decided to put off the festival as the precautionary measure, till the further declaration, in the presence of district collector, Sanjeev Jaiswal and office-bearers of other committees.
