No question of reversal in BJP-ruled states: Jaitley
New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) The BJP-ruled states, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh where the poll process is on, will not witness ''any upstage'', party General Secretary Arun Jaitley claimed today.
''The voters in the BJP-ruled states are happy while they are greatly disillusioned with the Centre for its failure to rein in soaring prices, growing terrorism and worsening economic crisis, Mr Jaitley told mediapersons at a press conference here.
''We are going to win everywhere...as the mood of the voters is BJP-friendly in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Mizoram,'' Mr Jaitley added.
The General Secretary also dwelt at length on what he termed as the UPA government's ''callous and sluggish'' approach in tackling the economic crisis in the face of global meltdown, its refusal to lower the oil price and usher in a softer economic regime among others.
To a specific query as to the party's analysis about the poll outcome of the assembly polls, he used a simple but a two word expression ''the BJP-friendly''.
To further queries, the BJP leader quipped, ''har jagah jeetenge'' (we will win everywhere), but later told UNI that the reasons for the party's confidence and hope were that the BJP-ruled states had provided a great relief to the man in the street during their five-year term.
