We have not projected Chief Ministerial candidate in Delhi: Singhv
Jaipur, Nov 22 (UNI) The Congress today said it had not yet projected Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit as its Chief Ministerial candidate in the ensuing Delhi Assembly polls.
Talking to reporters here today, the party Spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the party did not project anybody as its Chief Ministerial candidate. Delhi also was not a exception to the party's policy.
However, Ms Dikshit being the incumbent Chief Minister was the obvious choice for leading the party's election campaign.
"Congress has time tested convention of electing Chief Minister or leader of the legislature party at the meeting of newly elected legislators and we are not going to deviate from that under pressure from the BJP and/or the media," Mr Singhvi said.
