Mayawati, Sonia to address poll rallies in Delhi tomorrow

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) After a tour of Madhya Pradsh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati is now all set to give a momentum to her party's campaign for the November 29 Delhi Assembly elections by addressing three rallies in a week, starting with one tomorrow.

The BSP, which is contesting all the seats, is expected to give a tough fight to the Congress, and coincidentally the top leaders of the two parties--Ms Mayawati and Ms Sonia Gandhi -- would be vying for Delhiites' attention from the same day in the Capital. Ms Gandhi too will address a rally here tomorrow.

The BSP, which is yet to open its account in the Delhi Assembly, has,however, given some indications of things to come by winning 17 seats in the last Municipal elections.

According to political analysts, the BSP, besides winning a few seats, may also play spoil sport for the Congress on a number of other seats.

After tomorrow's rally, the BSP supremo will address another on Monday. The third rally will be held on December 26.

Tomorrow's rally will be held in Trilokpuri constituency of East Delhi, which is a reserved seat.

Ms Mayawati has already addressed a number of rallies in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan-- the states where the party has opened its account and is very confident of increasing its tally.

The BSP had returned to power in Uttar Pradesh with a landslide victory in the last Assembly elections, folowing which Ms Mayawati was mincing no words about her ambition to reach the seat of national power in Delhi.

The results of the Assembly elections in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgrah would be very crucial for the BSP to formulate its startegy for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
