Turkish Prime Minister arriving tomorrow on 4-day visit
New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) India's strong engagement with the Islamic world will continue with the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan here from tomorrow for discussions with Indian leadership on strengthening cooperation in various sectors including energy, trade and economy.
The Turkish Prime Minister who will be here on a four-day official visit, will call on the President Pratibha Patil and Vice President Hamid Ansari.
He will hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on various matters of bilateral, regional and international interest.
The Prime Minister will also host a banquet in honour of the visiting dignitary.
External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Leader of Opposition L K Advani will also call on the visiting dignitary.
The Turkish Prime Minister will be accompanied by a large delegation including Mr Mehmet Aydin, Minister of State and co-Chairman of the Joint Economic Commission, Mr Zafer Caglayan, Minister of Industry and Trade, Hilmi Guler, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Members of Parliament and other senior officials and business persons.
He will also visit Agra and Bangalore.
