Over 600 huts demolished at Vikhroli

Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) 0ver 600 huts, built up on Government land near Kanmawar Nagar, Vikhroli, in eastern suburb were demolished today by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolition squad.

BMC Assistant Commissioner S A Barbir told UNI that it was the collector's land and he had approached them for demolition of the huts.

''We started the demolition of the huts at around 1100 hrs on the land measuring three acres, under police protection'', he said.
