Kulkarni remanded to police custody

Pune, Nov 19 (UNI) Khadki court today remanded Sameer Kulkarni to one day police custody for his alleged involvement in the assault on Pastor Peter David Silway of Vineyard Workers Church last year.

Kulkarni was produced before the the Khadki Court who remanded him to one day police custody. Public Prosecutor D N Kadam while seeking seven days custody of Mr Kulkarni informed the court that police need to be given more time to investiagte his role in the attack case Defence lawyer Sunil Jape and Suresh Gavali on behalf of Kulkarni told the court that Kulkarni has nothing to do with this case, and police have failed to nab the main accused who is still absconding.
