Vice-President condoles death of Ajit Panja

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Vice-President Mohammed Hamid Ansari today mourned the demise of Ajit Kumar Panja- former Union Minister and former Member of Parliament.

The Vice-President in his condolence message issued here, said,'' Panja had a glorious record of service to the country and people during his many years in public life. He always championed the cause of the poor and the downtrodden.'' ''He undertook important policy initiatives for the welfare of the people and earned their admiration for his dedication, sense of public service and honesty. His services to the country, especially to West Bengal shall always be remembered,'' the Vice-President added in the message.

Mr Ansari said, " My wife joins me in sending our heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and the wide circle of his admirers and friends and pray the almighty to grant them the strength to withstand this loss.'' UNI BKS KK BD1735
