Kusum Rai seeks CBI probe in Malegaon bomb blast case
Lucknow, Nov 14 (UNI) Raising finger at the Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad for probing the Malegaon bomb blast case, vice president of BJP women cell and newly elected Rajya Sabha member, Kusum Rai, said the matter should be probed by the CBI.
''I doubt the investigation done by the Mumbai ATS,'' said Ms Rai, who was elected unopposed for the RS membership today.
One should find out, who was acting as the main guidance and defaming the women, Saints, Rashtriyawadi outfits and armymen into the Malegaon bomb blast case, she quipped.
From the last 15 days, the Mumbai ATS was trying to collect evidence, but still nothing concrete has been achieved by it.
Earlier, brain mapping and narco tests conducted upon Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur also revealed nothing. Later, the Mumbai ATS arrested Lt Colonel Purohit, but nothing came out, Ms Rai said charging, the ATS was following the orders of NCP-led Congress government in Maharashtra after seeing the Lok Sabha election coming near.
''I am confident that only Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) could tackle the case correctly,'' the BJP leader demanded.
