Apollo Chairman donates diamond-studded 'Hastams' to TTD

Tirumla, Nov 14 (UNI) Apollo Hospitals Chairman C Pratap Reddy donated diamond studded golden 'Hastams' worth Rs 85 lakh to Lord Venkateswra temple here last night.

Temple sources said TTD Special Officer A V Dharm Reddy accepted the ornaments which included 'Kati' and 'Vaikunta Hastams' weighing about five kg.

Before handing over the 'Hastams' Mr Reddy, offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara.

The presiding deity would be adorned with the ornaments during the weekly celestial bath (Abhishekam) held on every Friday, sources added.
