Women organisation to protest against Wine policy
Hubli, Nov 13 (UNI) The All India Women Cultural organization has decided to launch a statewide agitation against Karnataka Government's new Wine Policy allowing the sale of Wine in the open market, the organisation State Secretary B R Aparna said today.
Talking to newsmen here, she alleged that the Government has inclined to favour the liquor lobby with an excuse of helping the grape growers.
The protest woould begin from November 21. The new wine policy has come as bolt from the blue to the families and women will be more affected, she alleged.
The Government under the influence of liquor lobby has considerably reduced the license fees also. If the Government did not withdraw the new policy, the agitation will be intensified, she warned.
