276 people leave terror-torn Doda, Kishtwar districts for Haj
Doda, Nov 13 (UNI) At least 276 people from militancy-infested Doda and Kishtwar districts today left for Haj under tight security cover, official sources said.
''A caravan of nine buses carrying 144 pilgrims left Doda while 132 people left Kishtwar on seven buses,'' an official source said.
The Haj pilgrims, who left for Srinagar for their onward journey, were given rousing reception on the way by the people of all the communities, sources said.
Both the mountainous districts of Doda and Kishtwar have remained a hub of militancy in Jammu region.
