Gurunanak propogated oneness of God, bortherhood: TN Govrnor

Chennai, Nov 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala today greeted the people on the occasion of the 540th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev.

In his message, he said Guru Nanak Dev had propogated the message of oneness of God, brotherhood of mankind, love and tolerance.

He was a strong advocate of equality of all and removal of disparity in any form. ''Guru Nanak Devji had a great concern for the spread of right conduct and truthful living'', he also observed.

''Let us, on this solemn occasion, rededicate ourselves to the great ideals of Guru Nanak Devji and promote equality, unity, harmony and compassion'', the Governor said, according to a Raj Bhavan communique.
