Jamaat-e-Islami Hind will take out national caravans for peace
New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) With an aim to propagate the message of peace and justice among the countrymen, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is going to take out two nationwide caravans starting from today and ending on November 26.
The caravans will be launched by Moulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri, National President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind according to a press release issued by the organisation.
According to the release, ''The rally will be flagged off in Delhi today and pass through Patna, Azamgarh, Lucknow, Guwahati, Kolkata, Nagpur, Bhopal, and Mumbai before spreading out to the rest of the country.'' The organisation has expressed grave concern about the frequent communal conflicts in the country. The rally is supported by religious scholars and social activists like Swami Agnivesh, Dr John Dayal, Medha Patkar, Khairnar, Syed Hamid.
The rally will raise the issues of riots, reforms in police and law enforcement machinery, effective legal mechanism to curb police atrocities, illegal detentions, and human values.
