Satish C Gupta appointed Chairman and MD of UBI

Kolkata, Nov 7 (UNI) Mr Satish C Gupta has taken over as Chairman and Managing Director of United Bank of India.

According to UBI sources here, prior to taking over charge of this new assignment, Mr Gupta was the Executive Director of Bank of Baroda since June 2007.

Mr Gupta had been a career banker and started his career with Bank of India in 1972 as a probationary officer.

Mr Gupta also served as Director on the boards of Indo-Zambia Bank Ltd, Zambia, and Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Ltd.
