Rahul's father to move court if attempt made to save killers

Patna, Nov 6 (UNI) Madan Prasad, father of Rahul Raj who was killed in an alleged fake encounter with the Mumbai police, is considering to move the Apex court if any bid was made to save the the killers.

Mr Prasad said here today that he had no faith in the inquiry commssion headed by the Chief Secretary of Maharshtra to probe the killing of Rahul, but would await the report before deciding his next move.

''If any attempt was made to suppress the fact in the inquiry report, I would not hesitate to knock the door of the Apex court to seek justice,'' he iterated.

''I had asked for the seizure list from Mumbai police but it was not made available to me despite several requests,'' Mr Prasad said and added he might move the court if there was bid to save those involved in the fake encounter.

He said the postmortem report had indicated that Rahul was shot dead from point blank range while Mumbai police claimed that he was killed in an encounter while trying to hijack a bus on October 27.

''On the basis of postmortem report, it appears that Rahul could have been over-powered by the police and taken into custody instead of killing him on the spot in the name of encounter,'' he said.
