'Sufi music lessens stress

Amroha, Nov 6: Sufi has the power to relieve a person from all stress, opines renowned Sufi singer Hansraj Hans.

''Sufi songs are the 'soul of the music'...it not only soothes your senses, but also makes its space in our heart,'' Hansraj said talking to an unruly crowd of music lovers at a programme here on Thursday, Nov 6. It is my personal belief that this music also frees us from all kind of tensions and strain, he suggested saying, it works no less than the Art of Living. Quoting his own example, Hansraj said only wealthy people do planning stuff. ''A person, hailing from ordinary family, like me thrived everything on the sole basis of his hard work. And this is really what matters.'' I can still recall my old days, when I used to roam around in fields, but now I am a changed personality. I have travelled this journey only with hard efforts, he narrated.

Now, I also want to try my hand in politics and wish to do some good work for the youth by contesting the election at the ticket of National Democratic Alliance from Jalandhar parliamentery seat in Punjab, he expressed.
