Two-day meet on Iqbal's poetry in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Eminent scholars and poets from across the country will be participating in a two-day symposium on Allama Iqbal to be organised here on November 8 and 9 to deliberate on the great poet's concept of 'selfhood' in perspective to the positive analogous aspects of all relgions.

As a precursor to the symposium, known as 'Jashn-e-Iqbal', cultural and literary competitions based on Iqbal's poetry have already taken place in different parts of the country. The winners of these competitions will be awarded in the symposium.

A 'Mushaira' with particpation of the prominent poets will also be held on the occasion.

The symposium, being jointly organised by 'Interfaith Coalition for Peace' and 'God's Grace Foundation'will begin with the recitation of Iqbal's poetry by Mr Abdul Mughni and party of Hyderabad and others with musical accompaniment, according to Dr S.

Zafar Mahmood, president of both the Foundation and the Coalition.
