ACC's cement production down 1.13% at 1.74 MT in Oct
New Delhi, Nov 3 (UNI) ACC Ltd, the country's biggest cement maker, today said its production fell 1.13 per cent at 1.74 million tonnes (MT) in October 2008, as compared to 1.76 MT during the corresponding period a year ago.
The company, in which Swiss cement maker Holcim holds 46.22 per cent stake, has despatched 1.70 MT of cement last month, against 1.76 MT over the same period last year, registering a 3.4 per cent fall.
The cumulative production for the first ten months of the current year stood at 17.23 MT, against 16.75 MT during January-October last year.
It despatched 17.23 MT of cement during January-October 2008, as against 16.73 MT over the same period a year ago.
