3,55,903 voters to exercise franchise in Rajouri

Jammu, Nov 2 (UNI) Around 3,55,903 voters, including 1,71,089 women, will exercise their right to franchise in four constituencies of Rajouri district which is going for polls in Phase II on November 23, an official spokesperson said today.

In addition, 2861 service voters, including 306 women, will exercise their right to franchise in the four Rajouri constituencies -- 81-Nowshera, 82-Darhal, 83-Rajouri and 84-Kalakote, the spokesperson said.

To facilitate smooth voting of the registered electorate, a total of 388 polling booths have been set up in the district. ''For the Rajouri Assembly segment 124 booths have been set up, while 95 have been set up in Darhal, 86 in Nowshera and 83 in Kalakot,'' he said.

The highest number of 1,05,898 voters, including 51,021 women, are in the Rajouri Assembly segment followed by 88,532 electorate, including 42,735 women, in Darhal constinuency, 85,695 voters, including 41,240 women, in Nowshera and 75,760 electorate, including 36,093 women, in Kalakote constituency.
